Perhaps his biggest life changing moment came when he decided to spend four months studying in Rome, Italy. Studying firsthand the work of some of the greatest artistic minds of all time seemed to instantly awaken something inside of him. Something that had been there, but did not know how to come out until now. Suddenly his artwork took on new meaning; his ideas more thought out; his techniques more advanced. Everything seemed to come together to form something much more grand, and meaningful. He connected with something that is almost unexplainable to a person, yet something that could not be learned in a text book. He was experiencing life in an entirely different way, while at the same time fully expressing that on canvas (or paper) in the truest of forms. Since then, he continuously seeks to shower a canvas (or paper) with the same excitement and intensity of life that he experienced firsthand. Simply put, there is too much excitement out there not to want to share it.
